Facebook: The Popular Drug of Choice

I meant to post this yesterday but laziness and procrastination got the best of me. We're still friends right?
Anyway, this post is about the drug of choice to most people that sit around the office chair and have their eyes glued to the monitor. Why do I call it a drug you might ask? Well, it's how most people like to kill time on the internet like looking at cat websites and going "LOL" and moving on to the other picture. After a while of mindless surfing, that person might stumble on to a website and stick with it. That person will then get addicted. Once addicted, the addict will tell other friends about it.
I hope that it made sense. If not, think of it this way. Some people consider it a drug because they are addicted to it. The side affects would be wasting way too much time online. You might not think it's wasting time if you are addicted though. The only thing an addiction on the internet cures is boredom.
Sure,I might not enjoy facebook as much as my friends because I live in a different location (the other side of the country). The only thing I do there is pretty much chat with friends and I might check on my pet once in a while. I guess I probably don't see the fun because I am only able to chat at the very least at 6:30 here. Why? Because I live in Toronto and most of the friends I chat with live in Prince George. That is a three hour time difference. When my friends get home I am already eating dinner.
I think that the fact that someone thinks facebook is addicting is just ridiculous. No one is ever going to approach you on the street and go,"Hey man! You uhh.... got a group invite? How strong is it? You better not be a cop."
If you think facebook is addicting, it's not. Chances are, your life probably sucks. Facebook is somewhat a fad that will come and go. It's popular, and then starts to slowly decline. Facebook will soon be like Myspace. It was very popular and now no one really cares about or uses Myspace anymore.

Topic related fact!:There are over 400 million active users! (People who have returned to the site in the last 30 days) Addicted much?

Gum

After an hour of my first post, I pulled out a pack of gum and took a piece out. When i took that piece and put it in my mouth, I was wondering what is the best gum out there. I am taking account for the best flavour, long lasting, and price.
In my 7 long years of going on the computer and playing games and surfing the web, I have spent a significant amount of time looking for the best gum out there. I have seen many forum websites and a small amount of polls but they aren't the most accurate and proffesional.
The forums that I have seen usually talk about the gum that lasts the longest and most people say that it's Stride. I know that I don't know Stride that well even though I have heard a lot about it and seen many commercials on the tv. I have only chewed two packs of that stuff in my life and think that it's alright.
The polls that I have seen are usually small polls made by people that have their own little website like mine with around five choices of the most popular gum like
5, Stride, Extra, and Trident. The people who vote on it are usually the person's friends.
Another gum question that bothers me isn't as old as the first one.
Why don't they sell 5 flare gum in Canada?
If you are from or in a country besides the US or never heard of it, it's just a cinnamon flavoured 5 gum. The packaging is red and the picture on the right is basically fire ball. I could still get that flavour of gum because I live pretty close the US and Canada border but it would take a while. All I would do is get someone to drive me to the US, pass the border, go to the nearest gas station and buy up all of the flare they have.
As a big fan of gum, I would enjoy trying different kinds including bacon flavoured, this beer smelling one, and a wasabi flavoured one. Anyway, I guess that's all for today.

Topic related fact!: It's illegal to sell, buy or eat gum in Singapore. If caught, there is a nasty fine. All I know is I don't wanna go there.

Hey!

Hey, welcome to my blog! This is clearly my first post and in this one I'll try to explain what this blog is going to be about. Basically most of my posts are gonna be about my point of view of things, discussion of what's going on the the world, and at the end of each one, there is gonna be a topic related fact or two. I will try to make a blog as often as I can but some days I will probably too busy with homework. Anyway, keep posted for more posts and comment or follow if you want.

Topic related fact!: If you want to set up a website in China, you will have to submit identity cards and a photo of yourself, as well as meet regulators, before your domain name can be registered.
It's related because this new blog is a new website.
